Your two teachers, Mrs. Gracia and Mrs. Sullivan are two of the pieces to our classroom puzzle. We have to say that we fit together very well! We both have strengths that when put together become even stronger. We have been working together now for 14 years. Three years as next door neighbors at Cushing School, where we co-taught with our two classrooms as much as we could. And now we are entering our eleventh year as job-share partners sharing our classroom and students. We love working together on new ideas to use with you and actually spend a great deal of time together just for fun too! We each have children who also enjoy each other’s company a great deal. You will learn a lot about both of our families and us as we spend this year together.
Mrs. Sullivan
I have been a teacher for 16 years, most of that time right here in Scituate. I am so excited to begin another school year teaching with my good friend Mrs. Gracia. We've been job sharing for 10 years and feel so fortunate to be able to do so. I met my husband while at Providence College over 20 years ago and we've been married for 18 years. My husband and I have 3 children, Grace age 13, Christopher age 10, and James age 8. We live in Scituate, actually right down the street from Jenkins! It's great to be able to teach at the same school my children go to. We love to spend time outside: playing catch, soccer, swimming in the summer, and riding bikes. |
Mrs. Gracia
I started teaching in Scituate at the Cushing School as a Title One Tutor when I graduated from Stonehill College in 1997. From there I moved to Wampatuck to teach second grade and then back to Cushing where I taught second and first grades. My husband and I met on the first day I moved into my dorm at Stonehill College and have been best friends ever since. We have four children: Alex, a seventh grader at Furnace Brooke Middle School, Sam, a third grader at Eames Way Elementary, Emma, a second grader also at Eames Way, and Bobby, our very busy 3-year old. We live in Marshfield Hills so we are very nearby to Jenkins! As a family we love to read, take hikes to go geocaching (if you haven't heard of it, you should give it a try!!), swim, go to movies, and play games. |
